Possibly the lighting brings out the nature
of its beauty when you're away
Is integrity enforced by the cat and the lamp?
Or are they rummaging through your medicine cabinet?
Plenty of questions to ask about an empty house
And the magic of possible absurdities.

On a specified Thursday
The vision of a feast appears
The smoky aroma of a smoked Tom invades my nostrils
Accompanied by the mushy smell of
the underground world being cooked
I consume and feel as though I took a sedative
My eyelids weigh more than I'm used to
The night lingers, as well as the smells
And I fade into tomorrow

Glittering particle of light
What could you be?
Soaring above the world
Ruby of sky I see
Shining small glimmer
Forever in my memory
